Podcast fans will now have a quick way to get daily, local news in an instant, as the Mitchell Republic gets ready to launch its new podcast called "Mitchell Republic Minute."
This is the first podcast of its kind in the Mitchell media market and is a move designed to expand Forum Communications Company's news delivery to include a new audience on the podcast platform.
Mitchell Republic reporter Hunter Dunteman said the podcast will bring a convenient format for quick news to the Mitchell and south-eastern South Dakota region. Dunteman will be the primary host of the Mitchell Republic Minute podcast.
"Everyone consumes news, but the way we consume it varies based on our preferences," Dunteman said. "Throwing a podcast into the mix increases the diversity of formats we can deliver the news with."
The Mitchell Republic Minute podcast will launch later in August. It can be found on the Mitchell Republic website, Spotify , Apple Podcasts , and Google Podcasts .
