Due to frigid temperatures and the suspension of mail delivery, some subscribers of The Daily Republic may not have received their paper Wednesday morning.
Our Mitchell newspaper carriers were out delivering Wednesday morning, but we’re asking those who didn’t receive an edition to contact our office at 605-996-5514. If you live out of town and didn’t receive a paper today, your Wednesday edition will likely arrive Thursday.
The U.S. Postal Service announced late Tuesday afternoon that it has suspended mail delivery on Wednesday for Minnesota and Iowa, as well as North Dakota and South Dakota. There will be no mail pickup from businesses or collection boxes. There also won't be residential or commercial package pick-up services.
Print editions will be available at our office at 120 S. Lawler, Mitchell. Additionally, we also encourage subscribers to visit mitchellrepublic.com and click on "e-paper" (under SUBSCRIBE NOW, near the top of the home page) to view the newspaper digitally. If you haven't done so before, you'll need to create a login.
As always, we thank you for your business and your readership. We ask that all be safe in this extreme cold.
