To the Editor: I like to call Easter Resurrection Sunday because the name Easter edifies the so-called fertility god Ester. I don't like thinking about Easter bunnies or fertility. Recently I've thought how wonderful it would be is Sunday were called Sonday with an O instead of a U. They called it Sunday in honor of the so-called sun god. Wouldn't it be great if we called it Sonday in honor of the Son the Lord Jesus Christ?
To the Editor: We don’t know when, for sure, Jesus came into the word. However, that we celebrate a time for His birthday is very good. As long as we have Christmas, the story of our Lord will be told on Earth. And the more people that hear about Him, the more that might be saved.
To the Editor: Well, it's close to Thanksgiving time again. We have so much to be thankful for. Our Abbah Jehovah has supplied everything we need. He has given us homes, food, cars and most of all He has given us His word to grow with.
To the Editor: The poor are everywhere. We tend to look down on the poor people, and when one of them is panhandling we go to the opposite side of the street. We need to think about how we would feel if we were in that position and do unto others as we would wish done unto us. If we, who have everything we need, would remember, that we could have been born poor. We are so fortunate not to be living in cardboard boxes or tents. Yes, the poor are everywhere, but we have plenty of poor people right here in the United States.
To the Editor: Our country, a God-fearing nation, has set an example for the rest of the world. We, since Roe v. Wade in 1973, say it's OK to kill babies in the womb. Since 1973, our God-fearing nation has killed 57,496,000 babies. Now, we thought the Holocaust was terrible and dreadfully wrong to march the Jews into gas chambers for their doom. However, there were only 6 million Jews killed in the Holocaust.
To the Editor: When it's near to Christmas time, the newscasters put up pictures of Santa pulling his sleigh. I believe they should be showing a picture of a cross. I think it is detrimental to children to make them believe in Santa. They even put times on television when Santa will arrive in the U.S. The news of Jesus being born was so vast in those days that time changed to B.C. (before Christ) and A.D.
To the Editor: There is only one God; the God of Jacob, Isaac and Abraham. The Father of Jesus Christ, who is also God. Yes there are three God heads, the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost. However, they are one. Just like H20 is two atoms of hydrogen and one atom of oxygen which makes the one thing known as water. There are many people who declare the devil as the god of this world. I must protest. He is not God, he is the devil. He's no god at all. The same goes for people that make money or cars or motorcycles or any inanimate thing their god.
To the Editor: The pre-existence of Jesus Christ is explained in many verses in the Bible. Jesus said, "before Abraham was, I am." This means He is eternal. He also prayed to the Father once saying, "And now O Father, glorify me together with yourself, with the glory which I had with you before the world was." In the book of John, John wrote about Jesus saying, "All things were made by Him; and without Him was not anything made that was made." So, He existed before the world was made. We cannot comprehend how Jesus, as God, became a man. However, the fact remains, He did.
To the Editor: Evolution offends me because it teaches there is no God.The teaching that we are just an accident from a mud puddle has corrupted the morality of our young people today. The dictionary defines religion as a faith-based worship. This makes evolution a religion itself. It takes more than faith to believe in evolution that it takes faith to believe in Adam and Eve. There is no history on evolution, only suppositions.
To the Editor: "Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love Him." This verse in the Bible tells us a little bit how wonderful and beautiful Heaven will be. Just imagine how someone who created the Earth with all its beauty would make Heaven. Our Earth has mountains, streams, oceans, jungles and deserts. Yes, even deserts are beautiful in a way. He made the trees and grass and all of the animals, which are all unique.
