The Mitchell High School marching band competes in the Dutchman Field Championships in Orange City, Iowa on Saturday. The band placed first in class 3A and sixth overall. It also won best color guard, best drum line, best horn line and the Pizza Ranch Spirit Award, which is given to the band that displays the best conduct, attitude and sportsmanship.
