Augustana, USF meet for first time in 26 years

SIOUX FALLS -- Augustana College and the University of Sioux Falls meet for the first time in 26 years for a highly-anticipated matchup in the first-ever "Key to the City" game.

Kickoff is slated for 1 p.m. Saturday at Kirkeby-Over Stadium in Sioux Falls.

Augustana leads the overall series 19-2 with its most recent win in 1986.

The No 23-ranked Cougars enter the meeting 6-1 overall and 1-2 in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference South Division, while the Vikings are 3-4 on the season and 1-2 in NSIC South Division play.

Both USF's Taylor Perkins and Augustana's Josh Hanson each have thrown 21 touchdown passes this season. Perkins has thrown for 1,739 yards, while Hanson has racked up 1,934 passing yards.

USF wide receivers Carrington Hanna and Jeremiah Oates combined for 19 touchdowns in the first seven games of the season.

Augustana running back Dajon Newell has 107 carries for 586 yards and six touchdowns on the season.

South Dakota State vs. Northern Iowa,

4 p.m. Saturday in Cedar Falls, Iowa

No. 20-ranked South Dakota State looks to extend its five-game winning streak when it faces Northern Iowa at 4 p.m. Saturday at the UNI-Dome in Cedar Falls, Iowa.

UNI has a record of 1-5 this season and is 0-3 in the Missouri Valley Football Conference, while SDSU is 5-1 overall and 3-0 in conference play. The Panthers have won the last two meetings.

Zach Zenner has led the SDSU offense with 156 carries for 1,248 yards and eight touchdowns in six games. Quarterback Austin Sumner has completed 78 of 153 passes for 879 yards and five touchdowns this season.

UNI's Sawyer Kollmorgen has led offensively with 1,538 passing yards and 12 touchdowns in the first six games of the season. Running back David Johnson also has six touchdowns and has racked up 387 yards on 80 carries.

South Dakota vs. North Dakota State,

6 p.m. Saturday in Sioux Falls

The University of South Dakota Coyotes hope to end their four-game losing streak when it faces North Dakota State University at 6 p.m. Saturday at Howard Wood Field in Sioux Falls.

In the teams' last meeting, the Bison won 38-16 in 2010. NDSU (5-1) leads the series 49-25-2.

USD dropped to 1-5 on the season with a 27-24 loss to Missouri State last week.

Josh Vander Maten has led the USD offense with 1,059 passing yards and six touchdowns in the first six games of the season. Vander Maten also has 305 rushing yards and five rushing touchdowns.

USD's Marcus Sims has 81 carries for 443 yards and four touchdowns on the season.

NDSU's Brock Jensen has led the offense by completing 100 of 152 passes for 1,212 yards and 10 touchdowns in six games.

Dakota State vs. Dordt College,

1 p.m. Saturday in Sioux Center, Iowa

Dakota State University travels to face Dordt College at 1 p.m. Saturday in Sioux Center, Iowa.

Last week, the Trojans won their first game of the season against Briar Cliff 35-28 to improve to 1-7 overall. Dordt is winless this season with a record of 0-7.

Dakota State's Brandon Large has led the offense with 2,086 passing yards and 13 touchdowns on the season. Running back John Neisen has 112 carries for 342 yards and three touchdowns in eight games.

Dordt's Trai Pickney has 53 carries for 383 yards and three touchdowns this season and Daniel Fennig has 41 carries for 383 yards and one touchdown this season.

Black Hills State vs. Colorado State-Pueblo,

7 p.m. Saturday in Pueblo, Colo.

The Black Hills State University football team faces Colorado State-Pueblo at 7 p.m. Central time Saturday in Pueblo, Colo.

The Yellow Jackets are 1-5 overall and the Thunderwolves are an undefeated 7-0 on the season. This is the first meeting between the teams.

Ward Anderson has led the BHSU offense with 125 of 243 passes for 1,276 yards and six touchdowns in six games. Bryar Desanti has 75 carries for 193 yards and two touchdowns this season.

Thunderwolves quarterback Ross Dausin has led the offense with 114 of 173 passes for 1,661 yards and 15 touchdowns this season.

Presentation vs. University of Minnesota-Morris, 1 p.m. Saturday in Morris, Minn.

Presentation College looks for its second win of the season as it plays the University of Minnesota-Morris at 1 p.m. Saturday at Big Cat Stadium in Morris, Minn.

The Saints dropped to 1-6 after a 75-6 loss against SD Mines and Technology last week. The Cougars are 4-3 on the season.

Presentation's Will Vealy has 101 carries for 371 yards and two touchdowns on the season.

Cougars quarterback has led offensively with 64 of 124 passes for 884 yards and 10 touchdowns in seven games.
