Class AA sweeps 3-Class Shootout

SALEM — The Class AA boys and girls teams won the annual 3-Class Shootout Saturday in Salem.

On the girls side, Class AA beat Class A 85-63 and Class B 86-82. For the boys, Class AA defeated Class A 110-91 and Class B 96-91.

Mitchell’s Macy Miller was named the Class AA Most Valuable Player, while Chamberlain’s Kennedy Wagner was named the Class A MVP. Miller scored 35 points and grabbed 22 rebounds in the two games, while Wagner had 15 points and four rebounds in one game. Remi Wientjes, of Sully Buttes, was the Class B MVP.

MVP’s for the boys were Huron’s Justin Decker, Madison’s Trae VandeBerg and James Valley Christian’s Nathen Wedel.
