“We didn’t do a good job rebounding,” said Mitchell Christian head coach Dennis Martin, whose team had just 16 rebounds in the game.

After an even first quarter, Bridgewater-Emery sprinted to a 10-point lead at halftime. The Huskies (7-11) were led by three players. Jerret Weber scored 18 points and had four assists, Sam Arend recorded 17 points and four rebounds and Wade Miller added 12 points and eight rebounds.

Mitchell Christian (4-14) was paced by Austin Bormann with 15 points, including three 3-pointers. Ethan Cooper added 11 points for the Golden Eagles.

Bridgewater-Emery won the JV game 35-20 and plays Irene-Wakonda Thursday in Wakonda. The Golden Eagles face Sanborn Central/Woonsocket Thursday in Forestburg.

With two games left in the regular season, Martin said his team must improve on the boards and offensively.
