0 Talk about it

“I think Ethan being physical kind of took us out of the type of basketball we wanted to play,” MCS boys’ basketball coach Dennis Martin said. “I was proud of the way the kids came out and played hard.”

The Golden Eagles (4-8), who were 10-of-33 from the field, were led by Chandler Nelson. Nelson scored 11 points and had four steals.

No other players reached double figures for MCS. Wes Vander Pol was the Golden Eagles’ second leading scorer with eight points and four rebounds.

We got a little too focused on playing one-on-one basketball, Martin said. “When that happens, generally good things do not happen on the basketball court.”

MCS hits the court against Mount Vernon/Plankinton Tuesday at Mitchell Christian School. Ethan hosts Sanborn Central/Woonsocket Monday in Ethan.
