Fallis scored a game-high 21 points and had 11 rebounds for a double-double, while Tilton had 20 points. Nick Blom chipped in with 11 points for the Jaguars.

“It was a hard-fought game,” MCS boys’ basketball coach Dennis Martin said. “I take some of the blame for not making the adjustments we needed to. Corsica/Stickney came out hot and we never really got going.”

Wes Vander Pol led the way for MCS (3-4) with 17 points and seven rebounds. Chandler Nelson added 15 points. The Golden Eagles were 14-of-38 from the field and committed 21 turnovers.

The Jaguars (5-3) were 27-of-60 from the field and 6-of-10 from behind the three-point line.

“Corsica/Stickney shot the ball really well and put the clamps on us defensively,” Martin said. “They have a really good team, and they took us out of what we wanted to accomplish offensively.”

The Jaguars also won the JV game 33-23 and hosts Kimball/White Lake Friday in Stickney. MCS hosts Dakota Christian Thursday at Mitchell Christian School.
