Bon Homme wins Gregory Invite; Lyman takes 3rd

GREGORY -- The Bon Homme volleyball team defeated Jones County 2-0 to win the Gregory Invite Saturday.

Caitlin McLouth led the way offensively with seven kills, five blocks, three digs and two aces. Vanessa Navratil recorded 14 digs, Alie Adams had 13 assists, six digs and two aces and Kelsey Sutera added 10 digs, three assists and two aces.

Bon Homme also defeated South Central and Lyman in straight sets in the tournament. The Cavaliers (5-0) play at Vermillion Tuesday.

Lyman 2, Gregory 0

GREGORY -- Lyman swept Gregory 25-20, 25-23 to take third place in the Gregory Invite Saturday.

Anna Flitner had 10 kills, five blocks, 15 digs and two aces, while Hanna Thiry had 14 assists and Sara Herman added 18 digs for Lyman.

For Gregory, Courtney Opbroek recorded seven digs, Brett Steffen had 15 assists and Codi Horst added 14 digs.

In addition, Lyman defeated Colome in three sets, lost to Bon Homme in two and defeated Cody/Kilgore (Neb.) in two sets in the tournament.

Flitner finished the tournament with 34 kills, 12 blocks, 53 digs and five aces, while Thiry had six aces and 35 assists. Jessica Welter had 13 kills, 10 blocks and eight aces, and Brooklyn Halverson recorded 10 kills, 10 blocks and five aces.

Lyman (5-1) plays at Colome Tuesday, while Gregory plays Bennett County Tuesday in Winner.
