“This is probably the happiest I’ve been at a meet so far this season,” Mitchell coach Audra Rew said. “I’m really proud of the progress that we’ve made and I saw the hard work that we put in at the gym pay off this weekend.”

Mitchell finished nearly four points better than second place Madison, while Watertown finished third.

The Arrows’ Krisia Bramer took individual titles on the balance beam, floor exercise and uneven bars, while also capturing the all-around.

Mitchell’s lone individual title came from Quinci Herll on the vault with a score of 9.275. Herll also finished third in the all-around competition for the Kernels.

“Nobody’s in the same league as Quinci on vault,” Rew said.

Emily Prill tied for second on the beam for Mitchell, while Rebecca Sadler took second on the floor.

Mitchell, which has taken first in every meet this season, hosts a triangular with Brookings and Madison at 6:30 p.m. Thursday in Mitchell.
