Kernels fall to Aberdeen
ABERDEEN -- The Mitchell High School boys' soccer team suffered a 6-0 loss to Aberdeen Central Tuesday.
"When you play one of the top teams in the state, you see the separation," MHS head coach Jason Wear said. "We didn't play the ball well to ourselves."
Goalkeeper Cole Carlson made 26 saves and Mitchell had six shots on goal.
Senior captain Dylan Weitzman was the MHS coaches' player of the match.
The Kernels tied St. Thomas More 1-1 over the weekend and Mathias Pedersen scored Mitchell's goal in the 52nd minute. Carlson had 10 saves in the game.
