AVON—Caysen Eide's four-touchdown performance—three rushing, one receiving—helped Class 9A No. 3 Corsica-Stickney get past Avon 58-8 on Friday in a nine-man football game.
Eide rushed for 171 yards and also added 89 receiving yards for the Jaguars. Jaden Barse (67 rushing yards), Caden Vandrongelen (50) and Cooper Delange (15) all rushed for a touchdown. Blake Moke completed 5 of 7 passes for 163 yards and two scores. Barse had a team-high six tackles, while Brendan Wentland had the team's lone interception.
For Avon, Kory DeJong gained 56 yards on the ground. He also had 12 tackles, including one for loss.

CANISTOTA—Canistota/Freeman racked up 478 total yards of offense and scored 44 points in the first half en route to a 52-6 win over Menno/Marion on Friday night.
Austin Thu only needed 11 carries to rush for 145 yards and three touchdowns for the Pride. Trey Ortman also had a big day, going 6 of 10 for 250 yards and two scores through the air, while also adding another two on the ground. Colin Helma was on the receiving end of a 94-yard touchdown catch and run from Ortman.
Gavin Pankratz was 19 of 38 for 166 yards, one touchdown and four interceptions for Menno/Marion. Kyle Munkvold led the way with five catches for 57 yards, while Trey Bohlmann had the lone touchdown catch in a losing effort. Menno was held to just three yards rushing on nine attempts.

COLOME—Jackson Kinzer rushed for 100 yards and two touchdowns to lead Class 9B No. 3 Colome to a 72-6 victory over Centerville in nine-man action on Friday night. The game ended at halftime due to the 50-point rule.
For Colome, Michael Supik and Chase Dufek rushed for 68 and 41 yards, respectively, as each also scored twice on the ground. Kinzer completed all four of his passes for 72 yards and a touchdown. Beau Bertram led the Cowboys — who scored the first 72 points of the game — with 33 receiving yards and six tackles. Calvin Ringing Shield intercepted two passes for Colome.
Will Kroger completed 2 of 9 passes for 50 yards and two interceptions for Centerville. He also rushed for 56 yards and a touchdown on 16 carries.

SCOTLAND—Behind 42 first-half points, Burke picked up a convincing 55-0 win in the Great Plains Conference season-opening game, as quarterback Brock Karbo accounted for seven touchdowns.
Karbo threw for a touchdown in the first quarter and ran for two more, while also throwing for three more in the second quarter. Teron Serr was on the receiving end of three touchdown grabs from Karbo in the game.
Dallas Fuerst, Daniel Lange and Lucas Pedersen each recorded 6.5 tackles for Scotland in defeat.

TYNDALL—In what was technically a road game, Bon Homme cruised to a season-opening victory Friday over conference rival Parkston.
Joey Slama, Christian Uecker and Josh Crownover all had big games on the ground to carry the Cavaliers. Slama ran 13 times for 113 yards, while Uecker had four carries for 110 yards, punctuated by an 81-yard touchdown scamper. Crownover had added 62 yards on six carries and two touchdowns, and led the way with seven tackles on defense. Slama was 9-for-14 passing for 68 yards with a touchdown.
For Parkston, Nathan Boettcher had six carries for 38 yards. The game was scheduled to be a home game for Parkston, but the contest was moved to Tyndall due to construction on the Trojans' home stadium.

For MVP, Jesse Hastings rushed for 106 yards and a touchdown on 18 carries. Weston Tobin chipped in with 99 rushing yards and a pair of touchdowns, as well. Hayden Haak completed 3 of 6 passes for 72 yards and a touchdown. Thomas Baker had a team-high seven tackles, including 1.5 for loss.
Riley Hannum completed seven passes on 10 attempts for 50 yards, while Dylan Gabriel added 81 yards and a touchdown on the ground for Stanley County. J.D. Carter led the Buffaloes with 37 receiving yards and nine tackles.

SALEM—A fourth-quarter touchdown from Blake Gessner lifted McCook Central/Montrose past Flandreau 7-6 on Friday in 11-man football action.
Gessner had a team-high 84 rushing yards for MCM, while Jacobi Krouse added 61 yards on the ground. Dylan Klinkhammer caught two passes for 23 yards. Koltan Lindstrom led the Cougars with nine tackles.
For Flandreau, Matthew Pauley rushed for 68 yards and a score on 18 carries. Connor LeBrun finished with 39 yards on two catches. LeBrun also had nine tackles and an interception. Pauley had eight solo tackles.

Brennan Mudder led the way on offense for the Blue Dragons, rushing 12 times for 51 yards and two touchdowns. He was 7-for-10 passing for 136 yards through the air. Hayden Pierret had eight carries for 74 yards and a touchdown for Garretson.
For the host Tigers, Zach Pardy ran 15 times for 75 yards and a touchdown, while Michael Hofer ran 15 times for 47 yards. Isaac Feldhaus was 4-for-9 for 30 yards passing. On defense, Feldhaus had 13 tackles, while Tisyn Spader had 10 tackles.
