Court-Menendez qualifies for NAIA indoor nationals

Jacksonville, Ill. — Dakota Wesleyan University’s Nicole Court-Menendez hit a qualifying mark for the NAIA Indoor National Meet in the 3,000-meter racewalk Saturday at the Snowbird Invite.

She had a time of 15 minutes, 56.97 seconds to finish fifth.

In other action, two other Tiger women made history ate the Dave Little Meet in Spearfish. Jessica Fossum had the second-best time in school history in the 60-meter hurdles in 6.83 and took second.

Ariana Arampatzis recorded the second-best pole vault mark in school history at 9-feet-4.25 inches.

Mitchell Blades hosting exhibition

The Mitchell Blades are hosting a figure skating exhibition Saturday at the Mitchell Activities Center.

The exhibition is from 11:45 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. and is free and open to the public.

Figure skaters from Mitchell, Sioux Falls, Brookings and Luverne (Minn.) will be showcasing their talent.
