South Dakota State University women’s basketball coach Aaron Johnston and Howard football coach Pat Ruml are the Quarterback Club’s special guests tonight.

The meeting begins at 7:30 p.m. today at The Depot.

Wesleyan women sign Gruenhagen

Dakota Wesleyan University women’s basketball coach Jason Christian announced the signing of Grayson Gruenhagen for the 2014-15 season, it was announced Tuesday.

Gruenhagen, of De Smet, is the fourth signee for next season, and she averaged 10 points and seven rebounds per game as a junior. The Bulldogs finished runner-up at the Class B state tournament last season and finished with a 24-2 record.

Tiger men’s golf team ties for 12th

KOHLER, Wis. — The Tigers finished in a 12th-place tie Tuesday with a two-round total of 654 at the Kohler Collegiate Classic, a men’s golf event.

Dakota Wesleyan University tied with Viterbo University, while Grand View University won the tournament with a 613.

Tyler Burr was DWU’s top finisher, tying for 40th with a 162. Josh Korn tied for 49th with a 165.

There was a three-way tie for first place in the individual race.

The Tigers resume play in the spring season, which includes with the final two GPAC qualifiers.

DWU soccer splits with Lancers

The Dakota Wesleyan University split a soccer doubleheader with Mount Marty Tuesday at the Mitchell Pepsi-Cola Soccer Complex.

The Tiger men defeated the Lancers 2-1, while Mount Marty topped the DWU women 2-1.

In the women’s game, Kylie Keiser scored DWU’s only goal, while goalkeeper Erika Carpenter made six saves in the game.

The DWU men received goals from Mike Haight and Eric Nelson. Goalkeeper Alex Nelson made two saves in the win.

The Tiger men play Midland at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, while the women play Midland at 11 a.m. Saturday. Both games are in Fremont, Neb.
