Area basketball roundup: Jaguar girls knock down KWL

Corsica-Stickney had three players score in double figures in a 59-54 girls basketball victory over Kimball/White Lake on Thursday at the Corn Palace.

Corsica-Stickney (17-3): Courtney Menning paced the Jaguars with 21 points and five rebounds. Menning also hit four of Corsica-Stickney's eight 3-pointers. Avery Broughton netted 16 points and five boards. Rachel Gerlach added 12 points and three 3-pointers. Up next: The Jaguars play in the Region 6B tournament next week.

KWL (11-9): Kennedy Leiferman scored 22 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. Grace Konechne added 18 points and eight boards. Up next: KWL plays in the Region 6B tournament next week.
