Area Football Roundup: Cougars complete comeback on Jaguars
CORSICA—Burke scored 26 unanswered points to erase a 22-point deficit to defeat Corsica-Stickney 26-22 on Friday.
For the Cougars, Brock Karbo passed for 135 yards on four completions, ran for 100 yards on 10 attempts and scored three total touchdowns. Finn Hanson rushed 14 times for 98 yards and a score for Burke. Ethan DeLong finished with 68 yards and a touchdown on two receptions. Defensively, Hanson had a team-high 17 tackles, while Jaden Frank racked up 16 tackles.
Blake Moke completed 18 of 27 passes for 264 yards and two touchdowns for the Jaguars. Caysen Eide gained 151 yards on 21 carries, caught three passes for 58 yards and also had seven tackles. Jaden Barse caught eight passes for 82 yards.

CENTERVILLE—Tripp-Delmont/Armour/Andes Central/Dakota Christian used 345 yards of offense to run past Centerville 38-6 on Friday in Centerville.
The Nighthawks were led by Jace Faulkner's 143 passing yards on nine completions. Cade Gemar ran for 58 yards on nine carries, and Daaron Tronvold picked up 108 receiving yards on five catches.
For Centerville, Jack Walters racked up 96 rushing yards on two carries, while Hayden Ellis threw for 26 yards on one completion.

GAYVILLE—Kyle Hirsch ran for 200 yards to lead the Raiders to a 56-6 win over Avon Friday night in Gayville.
Hirsch had 13 carries to reach the 200 yard mark with three touchdowns, while Jacob Hirsch picked up 70 yards on three receptions with one touchdown for GV. Tristan Gustad went four-for-five for 91 yards passing with two touchdowns.
Riley Rucktaeschel was 11-16 for 141 yards passing and one touchdown, while Kory DeJong racked up 47 rushing yards on 14 carries and 107 yards receiving on seven catches.

SCOTLAND—Class 9A No. 5 Alcester-Hudson ran up 468 yards of total offense in a road win at Scotland Friday in nine-man football action.
Trevor Stene ran for 126 yards on 11 carries and two touchdowns, while Jadon Micke ran for 91 yards and a touchdown and caught five passes for 79 yards and two scores for the Cubs. Eli Skoglund engineered the offense at quarterback, passing for 142 yards and three touchdowns on 13-for-21 attempts and ran for 63 yards.
Mason Dennis was 10-for-16 passing for 145 yards and a touchdown for the Highlanders, while running for 61 yards on 12 carries. Lucas Pedersen had 88 yards receiving on five catches and a touchdown, while Ty Mogck had 59 yards receiving on three catches.

WAGNER — Chamberlain racked up 508 yards of total offense in a convincing Southeast South Dakota Conference victory Friday.
Remington Rossow ran 16 times for 130 yards and two touchdowns, as the Cubs rolled up 356 yards of total offense in the victory. Issac Hawk had 99 yards on 14 carries and a touchdown, while Hayden Evans had 93 yards rushing and a touchdown. Lineman Nash Hutmacher added two rushing touchdowns, as well. Brant Gullickson had 111 yards receiving on two catches and a touchdown, thanks in large part to an 86-yard scoring strike from Jazz Dominguez.
For the Red Raiders, Preston Nedved had three catches for 55 yards and a touchdown. Jaden Peters threw for 89 yards on 7-for-19 attempts.

Joey Slama powered Bon Homme with 177 passing yards, 65 rushing yards and two passing touchdowns. Slama also intercepted a pass on defense. Christian Uecker added 52 rushing yards and 36 receiving yards on four catches, including one receiving touchdown. Tyler Kopp added a receiving touchdown, while Joshua Crownover added a rushing touchdown. Beau Rothschadl also intercepted a pass on defense.
For Kimball/White Lake, Javen Holan scored a 27-yard touchdown run. Holan finished with 47 passing yards.
