Miller named Summit League player of the week

Mitchell native and South Dakota State's Macy Miller was named The Summit League's player of the week for the third time this season on Tuesday.

Miller, a redshirt junior, scored a team-high 22 points in a 96-64 win over Wichita State on Dec. 20. The former Kernel was 9-of-9 from the field with two 3-pointers, a career-high eight assists, two rebounds and one steal. It was the seventh Summit League weekly honor for Miller, who shared the honor with Western Illinois' Emily Clemens.

Miller and the Jackrabbits (10-3) face Florida Gulf Coast on Friday in Fort Myers, Florida.
