Arens paces Coyotes past Incarnate Word

SAN ANTONIO, Texas — Allison Arens scored a game-high 21 points to lead the University of South Dakota women's basketball team over Incarnate Word 81-51 on Monday in San Antonio, Texas.

Arens went 6-of-9 from the field and 7-of-7 from the free-throw line, while adding five rebounds and six assists. Jasmine Trimboli added 17 points and Jaycee Bradley chipped in 16 points for the Coyotes, who shot 56 percent from the field (28-of-50).

Incarnate Word committed 25 turnovers and were led by Sydnee Wynn's 20 points and 11 rebounds in the loss.

South Dakota (5-4) plays CSU Bakersfield at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Sanford Coyote Sports Center in Vermillion.
