DWU men's soccer has clean weekend

The Dakota Wesleyan University men's soccer team held two opponents off the scoreboard over the weekend, but were only able to come away with one victory.

The Tigers (2-0-1) started off with a 4-0 win Saturday over Clarke University at the Pepsi-Cola Soccer Complex, getting two goals from Chaz foss, who also added an assist. Sam Roberts and Mike Haight added goals for DWU.

The Tigers were back on the pitch Sunday for a showdown with No. 16-ranked Jamestown College. The teams battled for control through regulation and two overtimes but no balls found the back of the net as the game ended at 0-0.

Goalkeeper Alex Nelson stood tall for the Tigers against Jamestown with 13 saves.

Next, DWU travels to Forest City, Iowa, to face Waldorf College at 3 p.m. Friday.
