DWU volleyball falls in 4 sets

SIOUX CENTER, Iowa -- The Dakota Wesleyan University volleyball team fell to Dordt College in four sets Tuesday. Set scores were 25-17, 22-25, 25-20, 25-10.

Dordt's Lindsey Floen recorded 10 kills and four blocks in the win. Danae Geels tallied 10 kills and three blocks. Loy Sahr had nine kills and four blocks. Kayla Gesink had 38 set assists and 10 digs and Kayla Broekhuis added 10 digs.

Sam Sandau led the Tigers with 12 kills. Elizabeth Mahsem, Rachel Tinklenberg and Danielle Bird each recorded 10 kills. Briana Jung tallied 43 set assists. Katie Lindow led defensively with 21 digs and Maggie Stehly added 16 digs.

Dordt is 21-8 this season and hosts Concordia Saturday.

DWU is 5-24 this season and hosts Doane College Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at the Christen Family Wellness Center in Mitchell.
