SALEM -- McCook Central/Montrose rushed for 262 yards as a team and jumped out to a 19-0 lead at half en route to a 26-0 win over Sioux Falls Christian Friday night in high school football action.

Zach Bies led the charge for the Fighting Cougars, rushing for 107 yards and a touchdown. Tim Gassman recorded 77 yards rushing and a touchdown, while Corwin Coldman added 30 yards on the ground in the win.

Brandon Reif was 4-of-7 passing for MCM, throwing for 61 yards and an interception. Reif scored the opening touchdown of the game on a 2-yard run. Jacob Heumiller had two receptions for 19 yards and Billy Kapperman had one catch for 35 yards.

MCM improved to 3-2 with the win and takes on Wagner Friday in Wagner. Sioux Falls Christian dropped to 0-4 and hosts Parkston next week.

Andrew Grassi rushed for 152 yards on 15 carries. Nick Gortmaker rushed for 86 yards on 10 carries and passed 3-of-3 for 23 yards. Jacob Weurtz had 17 yards receiving. Gortmaker had 10 tackles and Grassi had six tackles. Joey Pessia had two sacks.

Marion had 300 total rushing yards and 23 total passing yards. Marion (3-2) hosts Freeman Friday.

GREGORY -- Gregory pulled out to an early lead in its 65-14 win over Marty Friday. The game ended at halftime due to the mercy rule.

Gregory rushed a total 163 yards on 16 carries. Noah Beck and Jonah Beck led the Gorillas with 47 rushing yards each. Jaden Bartling was 3-of-4 passing for 85 yards. Gavin Thomas had two tackles and two interceptions.

Gregory is 4-1 and plays at Scotland Oct. 5.

Marty rushed for 45 total yards on 17 carries. Chris Badhand rushed for 25 yards and passed 5-of-20 for 65 yards.

Chase Connors was 2-of-2 passing for 52 yards for the Seahawks. Connors had seven tackles and Franky Tusha had eight. BEE had 358 total yards rushing on 35 attempts and 410 total offensive yards.

Hanson's Jacob Paradeis rushed for 55 yards on 10 carries. Jordan Marquardt had 13 rushes for 40 yards and one reception for 70 yards. Tyler Pringle was 2-of-5 passing for 79 yards. MOUNT VERNON -- Canistota had 332 total offensive yards to Mount Vernon's 156 yards in a 62-12 win Friday.

Alex Robertson rushed for 121 yards on six carries to lead Canistota's offense. The Hawks recorded 245 total rushing yards. Cody Bunger went 3-of-7 passing for 87 yards. Boone DeKramer had 48 yards on two receptions. Eric Tieszen had one reception for 39 yards. DeKramer recorded seven tackles. Tieszen, Jason VanWinkle and Devin Denison each had three tackles.

Cote Hinker rushed for 29 yards on seven carries for the Mustangs. Deric Denning was 9-of-20 passing for 138 yards. Hinker had 53 yards on two receptions and Marcus Anderson had 52 yards on two receptions. John Sweet and Hinker each recorded five tackles.

Canistota improved to 4-0 and hosts Viborg-Hurley Friday. Mount Vernon dropped to 1-4 and plays Hanson Friday in Alexandria.

Platte-Geddes/Dakota Christian 0

WINNER -- Ben Connot, Nate Galbraith and Kyle Bertram scored six of Winner's seven touchdowns in a 47-0 win over Platte-Geddes/Dakota Christian Friday.

Winner, which finished with 47 rushes for 422 yards, moved to 5-0 on the season.

Connot led the Warriors with eight carries for 115 yards. He scored a 1-yard TD in the first quarter and had a 61-yard TD in the third quarter.

Bertram had six carries for 50 yards with a 10-yard rushing touchdown and a 37-yard receiving touchdown. It was his only catch of the night.

Galbraith had two carries for 91 yards and Trace Meyer had seven carries for 57 yards. Meyer also had eight tackles and three sacks.

Tanner Fritz was 2-of-4 passing for 47 yards and two TDs. His other touchdown was to Shayden Drey, a 10-yard score to open the second quarter.

Nolan Donahue had an interception for Winner, which plays at Mobridge-Pollock in Mobridge Friday.

PGDC, which had 19 carries for -35 yards, had 85 yards of total offense.

Coby Johnson was 7-of-16 passing for 120 yards in the air for the Black Panthers. Matthew Randall had three catches for 74 yards.

Colome's Andrew Odden had 17 carries for 142 yards and two touchdowns. Kinzer was 3-of-4 in passing for 72 yards and eight carries for 90 yards.

Cole McCarty had five carries for 97 yards and one touchdown. Cole Ratermann recorded four receptions for 89 yards and one touchdown. Brandon Hoff had nine tackles and Brady London, Kinzer and Odden each had an interception.

Plankinton's Nick Lawson had a 67-yard touchdown pass from Kellam Karst in the second quarter.
