SALEM -- Parkston took down McCook Central/Montrose in a tight five-set match in a high school volleyball match Thursday in Salem.

Set scores were 17-25, 25-19, 25-15, 19-25, 15-11.

Parkston's Kenzie Lee had 11 kills, two blocks and 10 digs. Mersadie Dvorak had nine kills, Whitney Weber 18 assists, 13 digs and two aces and Laura Weiss recorded five blocks.

McCook Central/Montrose's Anna Olinger recorded 13 kills, while Laura Klaudt had 20 assists. Brianna Painter had 24 digs and Jean Skoglund added 13 digs and nine kills.

Parkston plays at Tripp-Delmont/Armour Tuesday, while McCook Central/Montrose (3-10) plays at Dell Rapids Tuesday.

Mitchell Christian 0

Tripp-Delmont/Armour defeated Mitchell Christian 25-22, 25-21, 25-21 Thursday in Mitchell.

TDA's Jessica Sandau had 15 assists, 25 digs and three aces. Morgan Ziegler had 15 digs and 10 assists and Kelli Batterman had 20 digs, 10 kills and three aces.

Mitchell Christian's Emily Schrag had 11 digs and eight assists and Brittany Zoss had seven kills, 10 digs and one ace. Ellie Bleeker had 14 digs, four kills and three blocks.

Mitchell Christian (2-8) hosts Kimball Tuesday, while Tripp-Delmont/Armour (5-7) hosts Parkston Tuesday in Tripp.

South Central 3, Bon Homme 1

TYNDALL -- Jamie Borszich had 12 kills in South Central's 3-1 victory against Bon Homme in high school volleyball action Thursday in Tyndall. Set scores were 25-13, 25-27, 25-21, 25-17.

South Central's Shailhyn Schweigert and Courtney Dummer each had 12 digs. Whitney Hutchinson had six blocks and five kills, while Tess Bentz added 16 digs.

Bon Homme's Jody Kriz had 26 digs, Emily Pechous recorded 16 digs and seven kills and Alie Adams had 24 assists.

South Central (5-7) hosts West Boyd, Neb., Thursday, while Bon Homme (8-8) plays Dakota Valley Tuesday.

Chamberlain 3, Lyman 0

CHAMBERLAIN -- Chamberlain defeated Lyman in straight sets 25-12, 25-20, 25-11 in high school volleyball action Thursday in Chamberlain.

Chamberlain's Abby Handel had six aces and 10 assists, Jaymee Knippling had three aces and Laura Pazour recorded nine kills. Logan Pickner had seven kills. Alex Pederson added 13 assists and Jesse Brownell had seven digs.

Lyman's Bailey Almond and Bailey Lulf each had two aces. Almond also added eight assists for the Raiders. Anna Flitner had two blocks, 12 digs and six kills. Haley Halverson added two blocks and Chesney Garnos recorded 15 digs.

Lyman (6-6) hosts New Underwood Saturday, while Chamberlain (8-2) plays at the Central Conference tournament in Mobridge Saturday.

Freeman 3, Menno 1

FREEMAN -- Dina Soulek led Freeman with 15 kills and 13 digs to a 3-1 win against Menno Thursday in high school volleyball action.

Set scores were 25-19, 23-25, 25-7, 25-19.

Freeman's Grace Gering recorded 29 assists, five digs and two aces and Nicole Hinckley added six kills, six digs and six aces on the night. Lexi Graber had six digs, five blocks and four kills.

Menno's Christina Herrboldt had 12 digs, two kills and one block. Shelby Huber recorded four kills, four aces and one block and Courtney Schaeffer had six assists, five digs, three aces and three kills.

Freeman also won the JV match and improved to 3-5 on the season, while Menno dropped to 1-6 overall.

Both teams play in the Cornbelt Conference tournament Saturday in Marion.

Canistota 3, Hanson 2

CANISTOTA-- Canistota outlasted Hanson in a five-set match in high school volleyball action Thursday.

Set scores were 25-23, 26-24, 16-25, 17-25, 15-13.

Canistota's Natasha Letcher had 10 kills, nine digs and one ace. Chloe Nielsen recorded 16 assists, 12 digs, 10 blocks, seven kills and two aces. Brianna Buseman had eight blocks, four kills and four aces.

Hanson's Kendra Cheeseman had 23 assists and Kynedi Cheeseman recorded 20 kills, three blocks, 11 digs and five aces. Erika Nelson added 15 kills and three blocks for the Beavers.

Canistota improved to 3-9 on the season, while Hanson dropped to 9-5.

Both teams play in Cornbelt Conference tournament Saturday in Marion.

Sanborn Central/Woonsocket 3, Iroquois0

FORESTBURG -- Marissa Weber had 12 kills in Sanborn Central/Woonsocket's 3-0 sweep against Iroquois Thursday. Set scores were 25-15, 25-8, 25-9.

Sanborn Central/Woonsocket's Morgan Larson had five kills and five aces, while Rachel Selland had five kills and two blocks. Candace Page-Marten recorded four aces, 18 assists and 10 digs. Rachelle Moore had 10 digs and Shelby Selland added nine digs.

Iroquois' Britney Moeller had six kills and three blocks. Amber Jacobs had four kills. Kelsey Blue had three kills and 15 assists. Ashlynne Gross had 13 digs and Alex Hanson had 10 digs.

Sanborn Central/Woonsocket (11-2) plays at Highmore-Harrold Tuesday, while Iroquois (0-12) plays in a tournament in Elkton Saturday.

White Lake 3, Kimball 0

KIMBALL -- The White Lake volleyball team swept Kimball 3-0 Thursday. Set scores were 25-7, 25-19, 26-24.

White Lake's Maria Nightingale had 11 kills and eight blocks, while Kim Munsen had 28 assists. Clara Moller had nine kills and Rose Konechne added three aces. Jazmyn Hinker had eight kills.

Kimball's Mary Kroupa recorded four aces and 18 assists. Anna Pazour had three aces and seven digs. Haley Pazour had seven kills and Emily Sinclair added six kills.

White Lake plays Colome at the Kimball tournament Saturday, while Kimball (1-10) plays Jones County Saturday.

Andes Central 3, Dakota Christian 0

NEW HOLLAND -- Kellie Winckler had 12 kills, nine digs, three blocks and five aces in Andes Central's 3-0 win against Dakota Christian.

Set scores were 25-15, 25-9, 25-18.

Andes Central's Sierra Svatos recorded 28 kills, Krista Winckler had eight kills, three aces and two blocks and Hayli Gray had six kills.

Dakota Christian's Brooklyn Vander Pol had four kills, four blocks, two digs and one ace. Abbi BaanHofman had seven digs and two blocks and Kennedy Muckey added five assists, three blocks and three digs.

Andes Central (12-1) hosts Colome Tuesday, while Dakota Christian (4-3) plays in a tournament Saturday in Kimball.

Highmore-Harrold 3, Crow Creek 1

HIGHMORE -- McKenzee Zilverberg recorded 22 assists in Highmore-Harrold's 3-1 win against Crow Creek in high school volleyball action Thursday.

Set scores were 25-11, 25-16, 23-15, 25-8.

Highmore-Harrold's Courtney Keller had nine kills, two blocks, eight digs and eight aces. Tyann Hamlin led with 10 kills and Tierny Hamiln had nine kills and two assists.

Highmore-Harrold (6-2) plays Sully Buttes Saturday, while Crow Creek plays St. Francis Indian Tuesday.

Marion 3, Bridgewater-Emery 1

EMERY -- The Marion high school volleyball team reached double digits in the win column with a 3-1 victory over Bridgewater-Emery Thursday in Emery.

Set scores were 15-25, 25-18, 25-15, 25-20.

Marion (10-1) was led by Kylie Hughes with 21 kills and 17 digs. Ashley Rosenwald had 10 kills and 13 digs. Katherine Luke had 20 assists, Kaitlyn Engrecht had 30 digs and Devin Nelson finished with 21 assists and 20 digs.

Justine Dye had nine kills and eight digs for Bridgewater-Emery, which dropped to 8-4 on the season. Mackenzie Schultz had 18 assists and 13 digs, Aly Hanssen had 13 digs and Chesney Arend had 11 digs.

Bridgewater-Emery won the JV match and both squads return to action Saturday at the Cornbelt Conference Tournament Saturday in Marion.

Scotland 3, Ethan 1

SCOTLAND -- Carley Skorepa recorded 18 kills, 18 digs and six blocks to help lead Scotland to a 3-1 win over Ethan in high school volleyball action Thursday in Scotland.

Set scores were 20-25, 25-23, 25-20, 27-25.

Christy Mogck recorded 50 digs for Scotland in the win, while Amber Alvey had 29 assists, Sam Geiman had 12 digs and five kills, Kendra Rokusek had 14 digs and four kills and Kennidy Asche finished with 11 kills, nine blocks and 18 digs.

For Ethan, Whitney Endres had 14 digs and five aces, Holley Lindemann had 14 assists and Darbi Gustafson recorded 12 kills.

Scotland improved to 5-5 and takes on Avon Tuesday in Scotland. Ethan (10-5) takes on Menno Monday in Ethan.
