Mitchell man charged with wife’s suffocation death

LETTER: A growing objection to wind energy

To the Editor:

On the seal of the great state of South Dakota are the words, “Under God the People Rule.” The vote July 18 which was not supportive of wind farms in Lincoln County was a good example of how the people still have a voice in what takes place in their community. Big money doesn’t always win. About 66 government entities in 22 states moved to ban or restrict wind projects in 2015, including 30 towns and 27 counties.

Opposition to wind power is growing. The evidence clearly indicates that the more citizens get educated on the subject, the less they like industrial wind energy. This may be the reason why Prevailing Winds doesn’t hold any public meetings.
