LETTER: Time for an SD ethics commission
To the editor:
EB-5; GEAR UP; commissioner of the Bureau of Finance and Management leaving with no explanation; legislators serving with conflicts of interest; closed caucuses for the Republican S.D. House and Republican S.D. Senate; South Dakota being the only state that allows lobbyists to give unlimited secret donations to politicians (www.Yes22.org,); having a governor and Republican legislators who want to do away with IM 22 passed by the voters, and who are considering making it more difficult in the future to put measures up for a vote of the people.
Maybe it is time for South Dakota to have an ethics commission and more transparency.
