LETTER: Working toward a peaceful settlement

To the Editor:

If Israel won't accept a two-state settlement between Jerusalem and Palestinian, I do not see how the U.S. can defend them or help them to a peaceful settlement. The only way to have a peaceful settlement would be for the United Nations to draw a line between the two countries that both countries would agree to and respect. If either country will not agree as to where the line should be and respect it, there is no way they will ever have peace. It would take some good, sensible, reasonable people to agree to this. I do not believe we are dealing with that kind of people here.
