Harvey Jucht, 89, Emery, SD died Sunday, November 12, 2017 at Diamond Care Center in Bridgewater, SD. Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Thursday November 16, at First Baptist Church in Emery. Burial will be in Emery Community Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5- 7:00 PM Wednesday at First Baptist Church in Emery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Hettinger-Bittner Funeral Chapel.

Harvey Marlin Jucht was born July 18, 1928 on the family farm southwest of Emery (Clayton Township) to Albert and Ida (Koth) Jucht. He attended country school at Clayton School District No. 65. On January 5, 1952 Harvey was united in marriage to Mildred Lubbers at her parent's home near Emery. Harvey farmed his entire life on the family farm until retirement, when he and Mildred moved to Mitchell. Harvey lived at Countryside Assisted Living, Mitchell, SD from July 2015 until May 2016 when Harvey entered the Diamond Care Center where he was a resident until the time of his death.

Harvey made a profession of faith followed by baptism where he became a member of Plum Creek Baptist Church until the transfer of membership to First Baptist Church, Emery, where he remained a member until the time of his death.

Harvey is survived by his daughter, Sylvia (Terry) Heitzman of Blaine, MN; three grandchildren: Aaron (Julie) Heitzman of Ramsey, MN; Jill (Jeremy) Kramer of Maple Grove, MN; Brian (Nicky) Heitzman of Hartland, WI; five great grandchildren: Everett, Easton and Alaina Heitzman, Ella and Cayden Kramer; brother-in-law/sister-in-law Glen and Marlene Lubbers of Emery, SD; nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; sisters, Marcella Huber and Delores Wuertzer; brothers-in-law, Alvin Huber, Donald Wuertzer, Douglas Fligge; sister-in-law, Ruth Fligge; niece, Sherry Bulock and nephew, Dale Wuertzer.
