Eunice Younie Hanson Fiedler was born on Feb. 4, 1933 to Lawrence and May (Myers) Younie on a farm in Mitchell, South Dakota. Eunice passed away at home after a prolonged illness due to silent strokes on July 3, 2017. Growing up with an identical twin sister Inice, the two would form a tap dance team. At the age of 3 they debuted on stage at the Corn Palace in Mitchell. They would dance all through school till the age of 18. Eunice was also a member of the International Order of Jobs Daughters Bethel 5, Mitchell, SD. She graduated from Mitchell High School in 1951. In 1954 Eunice married Dale Phillip Hanson (of Loomis, SD) in Mitchell. They lived in California where in 1955 their son, Gary Dale Hanson was born.

After moving to Covina, California Dale opened a dental practice. For recreation they raised and showed Quarter Horses winning many awards. She enjoyed watching Gary play little league baseball and football. She also enjoyed knitting and crocheting. She and the family also enjoyed boating on Lake Havasu on the Colorado River on the Arizona-California border.

When Eunice first moved to California she lived with her aunt in Alhambra, CA, She worked up to being an executive secretary at C.F. Braun & Co. for many years in Alhambra, California and then worked as a buyer for Northrop Corp. in Downey, California from where she retired in 1994. Dale passed away in 1991. On Jan. 3, 1998 she married long time friend, Edgar Fiedler who was also a dentist in the same community. When Eunice, Dale and Gary lived in Covina they became friends with the Fiedler family and spent times at horse shows, camping, fishing, and local pastimes enjoying each other's commonalities and their surroundings.

She is preceded in death by her father Lawrence, mother May, husband Dale, son Gary, brother Dwight and sister Inice. She is survived by her husband Edgar, sister Ardis Jane, step-son Eric, daughter-in-law Leslie and grandson Christopher in Altadena, CA and many nieces and nephews in the Mitchell, SD area, Idaho, Nebraska and Minnesota.

In lieu of flowers, the Fiedler family would appreciate that you donate your gifts, which are tax deductable, to a local very worthwhile charity that feeds a nutritious meal to our local people here in the pass area five days a week.
