NOTICE OF APPLICATION REVIEW The public is invited to comment on the South Dakota FY2014 Application for Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Formula Program. The FY2014 Byrne JAG Application will fund programs to assist state and local efforts to prevent or reduce crime and violence. JAG funds support all components of the criminal justice system and JAG funded projects may address crime through the provision of services directly to individuals and/or communities and by improving the effectiveness and efficiency of criminal justice systems, processes, and procedures. The priorities for funding are: •Increase the manpower and other resources needed to address the drug and violent crime issues facing the law enforcement community in the State •Increase the manpower and other resources needed to address the drug and violent crime issues facing the prosecution community in the State •Increase the manpower and other resources needed to address needs identified in the correctional community in the State A copy of the application may be requested from Wanda L.
