Parkston boys take West Central Early Bird golf Invitational
HARTFORD -- The Parkston boys' golf team finished first at the West Central Early Bird Invitational Monday. The Trojans shot 316 as a team, edging out second-place finisher Dell Rapids, which finished with a final score of 325. Madison took third in the field, which featured 17 teams. Parkston's highest finisher was Jake Weber. Weber shot a 74 en route to a second-place finish behind individual winner West Central's Dylan From, who shot a 72. Winner's Jayden Bruun shot a 77 to finish third. Garret Hohn, Ty Kinneberg and Jacob Lee also finished in the top 15 for Parkston. Hohn finished fifth with a 78, while Kinneberg and Lee each shot 82s. Kinneberg finished 11th and Lee took 12th. Jamie Smith, of Parkston, and Landon Engel, of Winner, tied for 25th after shooting 87s.
