Keith Mitchell Williamson was born November 6, 1932 on the family farm south of Artesian, SD to Clifford ”Bud" and Viola (Mitchell) Williamson. He lived there until his father's death in 1938. The family moved to a smaller house south of Artesian. He attended Lyle and Sheldon Rural Schools.

They moved into Artesian in 1940. Keith continued his education at the Artesian School, graduating from Artesian High School in 1953. Through his growing up years, he spent summers out on the farm working for uncles. He served in the U.S. Army from the fall of 1953 to the fall of 1955, spending most of that time at Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri.

After his return to Artesian, he worked for relatives and area farmers. In 1956 Keith began farming on his own south of Artesian where he farmed and milked dairy cows. He sold out and quit that career in December 1978.

He moved to Sioux Falls, SD in 1979 and started working for Land 0'Lakes Lakeside Dairy, where he worked for 19 years. He retired in September 1998. He married Wanda (Capps) Langloss on August 2, 1979 in Sioux Falls, SD.

Keith was a member of First United Methodist Church. He enjoyed gardening, where he could keep ‘in touch’ with the land. He also liked visiting and activities with family and friends. He and his wife are part of the HyVee coffee group on 49"‘ and Louise. They enjoyed little driving trips around the Sioux Falls area.

Keith was a loving husband, step-dad, step-grandpa, brother, and uncle. He was a gentle, kind man liked by all who knew him and will be missed by many.

Survivors are his wife, Wanda; two step-children: Holly (special guy Michael) Wheeler, Pacifica, CA; Heath (Heather) Langloss, Tacoma, WA; one step-grandson: Alex Goering, Tacoma, WA; one sister: Joyce (friend Jim) Behl, Parkston, SD; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers: Harvey Doyle, Earl Douglas and Arlen and his precious step-granddaughter, Cassie Mandeville.

Funeral service will begin at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, August 20, 2013, at First United Methodist Church with burial to follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Sioux Falls. The family will be present to greet friends for visitation from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Monday, August 19 at George Boom Funeral Home in Sioux Falls.
