Farmers Union hosts farm bill rally at fair
HURON, S.D. (AP) — The South Dakota Farmers Union hosted a farm bill rally at the South Dakota State Fair.
The Saturday afternoon event put on by the Farmers Union and a number of other agricultural groups aimed to show the agriculture industry's support of a new farm bill.
Prior to the rally, fair attendees were invited to the annual Farmer's Share Luncheon, at which they received a full meal for a suggested donation of $1, while learning about the farmer's share of the retail food dollar.
The fair ended Monday.
