Trail of Governors Foundation board president Rick Jensen tells KCCR radio that the statues were dedicated in June and have been waiting to be placed.

The Janklow statue will be installed on Broadway Avenue, near the entrance to Capital Lake and the war memorials. The Wollman statue will be placed on the southwest corner of Dakota Avenue and Pierre Street.

Jensen says the statues will fit in well on the Trail of Governors route that goes from the Capitol Complex along Capital Avenue and down Pierre Street.

Statutes of former governors Robert Vessey, George S. Mickelson and Mike Rounds are up for next year.
