PIERRE -- Best in print, best online.

The Daily Republic has the best print edition among the state’s small dailies and the best newspaper website among all South Dakota daily newspapers, according to contest judges.

The print edition of the Mitchell newspaper won the General Excellence award in its division of the South Dakota Newspaper Association’s Better Newspapers Contest for the fifth consecutive year. The Daily Republic also won Best Website in a category open to all daily newspapers.
