Centeral Electric Coop plans power outages
Members of Central Electric Cooperative in eastern Aurora County will experience short interruptions to their electric power supply to accommodate a large building being moved from Aurora Center to north of Storla.
At 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, the building will be moved east of Aurora Center turning north on 392nd Street. The building will continue on 392nd Street until it arrives south of Storla. Once the building has maneuvered around the city of Storla, it will continue three miles north on 393rd Street.
On Wednesday, electric power will be interrupted to Central Electric members in parts of Center, Truro, Aurora, Dudley, Hopper, Palatine and Belford townships. The building move is expected to be completed by 5 p.m. Power interruptions should be less than 45 minutes in length. People who live near or along this route are encouraged to unplug any sensitive appliances or equipment.
