Mitchell police seek info on stolen car
The Mitchell Police Division is seeking information on a suspect involved in the theft of a white 2005 Pontiac Bonneville GXP that happened sometime between Friday night and Saturday morning in the 1000 block of West Fifth Avenue.
An officer saw the vehicle at approximately 6:40 a.m. Saturday traveling eastbound in the 100 block of East First Avenue. The vehicle was recovered less than an hour later in a parking lot near the intersection of Sixth Avenue and Langdon Street.
A witness saw a suspect described as an American Indian or Hispanic male, about 5 feet 8 inches tall, between 20 and 25 years old, and wearing a T-shirt and shorts. The witness saw the suspect exit the vehicle and head eastbound on a skateboard.
Anyone with information in relation to this incident or who witnessed suspicious activity in the area at the time of the incident, or anyone with information relating to any other crime, is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 996-1700.
