Man on probation arrested for thefts at Mitchell store
A local man already on probation for domestic assault has been arrested for allegedly stealing stereo equipment three separate times from a store in Mitchell.
James Paul Normile, 21, of Mitchell, was allegedly caught shoplifting Oct. 4 at Music & Sound. According to court documents, Normile told police he stole stereo equipment from the store on two other occasions earlier in the week.
He is charged with three counts of first-degree petty theft and faces up to one year in jail and a $2,000 fine on each count.
He is scheduled to appear in court later this month.
On Oct. 2, Normile appeared in Davison County court and admitted to violating his probation for an unrelated domestic assault conviction, for which he is scheduled to be sentenced next month.
