Sex offender admits to failing to notify police of move

A Mitchell man pleaded guilty Tuesday to failure to provide written notice of a change in his address as a sex offender.

Stuart Dion, 28, faces a maximum of two years in prison and a $4,000 fine after admitting he did not notify the Mitchell Police Division when he moved in September 2010. Registered sex offenders are required by law to provide written notice to law enforcement within five days of changing their address. Dion is set to be sentenced in October.
