MHS earns excellent, superior ratings in oral interp festival

Several Mitchell High School students were deemed "excellent" this weekend.

Six students competed in the state oral interpretation festival in Aberdeen and earned high honors.

Neythan Ortiz, performing "Dr. Fritz," earned a superior rating and a medal in the humorous category for his presentation. Devon Doering earned excellent for his "Shoot Me First" presentation in non-original oratory, while Hannah Hetland received excellent rating for her serious reading presentation "Missing Natalie and Victim."

Madison Meyerink performed in poetry, earning an excellent for "Stop Pretending." Topping it off for MHS was Hannah Hetland and RyLeigh Christopherson, who presented "He's Mine" and earned an excellent rating.
