Mitchell man arrested for suffocating woman to death

Woman run over twice, possibly intentionally, in Sioux Falls

SIOUX FALLS (AP) — Sioux Falls police are investigating whether a driver intentionally ran over a woman with a vehicle twice.

Authorities say the woman was taken to a hospital with a broken leg after the mid-day incident Sunday. They say the woman had been arguing with the driver of the car before the car backed over the woman and then drove forward, running over her a second time.

Police Sgt. Jerry Mundt tells the Argus Leader newspaper that the driver might face aggravated assault charges.
