Letcher man pleads guilty in high-speed chase

ALEXANDRIA -- A Letcher man pleaded guilty Friday to aggravated eluding for leading law enforcement on a chase that reached speeds of 150 mph.

Bruce Pueppke, 61, faces a maximum penalty of two years in prison and a $4,000 fine. He is scheduled to be sentenced in May.

Pueppke was arrested in October after leading law enforcement on a high-speed chase on Interstate 90 in Hanson and Davison counties. The chase ended peacefully, just north of Mitchell.

In exchange for Pueppke’s guilty plea, prosecutors agreed to dismiss other lesser charges.
