Mitchell man pleads guilty to identity theft
A Mitchell man pleaded guilty Tuesday to two counts of identity theft.
Cale Bender, 27, faces a maximum of two years in prison and a $4,000 fine on each count as a result of the guilty plea. In exchange, prosecutors agreed to dismiss additional charges.
Bender admitted to taking a check card without permission and using it to make multiple purchases at businesses in Mitchell.
He is scheduled to be sentenced in December.
