Reports: Two more women accuse Sen. Al Franken of groping them

Mitchell woman admits meth use in plea agreement

A Mitchell woman pleaded guilty Tuesday to possession of a controlled substance during circuit court at the Davison County Public Safety Center.

April Drapeaux, 32, pleaded guilty as a part of a plea agreement. The state will drop all misdemeanors and other information will be dismissed, and requests she is cooperative with law enforcement.

Drapeaux said she used methamphetamine May 30 in Mitchell.

"I've struggled with drugs and alcohol for 18 years, your honor, and I take full responsibility for this," she said.

Judge Tim Bjorkman ordered a presentence investigation and scheduled sentencing for August.

Drapeaux is currently being held in Davison County Jail on a $1,000 bond.

Bjorkman granted a request for release so Drapeaux can search for a job.
