Man hit while riding motorcycle sustains minor injuries
A man riding a motorcycle was minorly injured in a crash Saturday afternoon in Mitchell.
At 4:42 p.m., Karen Bower, 62, of Draper, reportedly ran a red light while eastbound on 12th Avenue, hitting the 35-year-old man on a motorcycle who was going south on Main Street.
The man was wearing a helmet when the crash occurred, and it is not currently known if Bower was wearing a seat belt.
Authorities said that the motorcycle sustained heavy damage, while Bower's vehicle was lightly damaged around the front driver's-side wheel area.
Bower has been charged with a stoplight violation.
