Garretson woman ID’d as victim in Montrose fatal crash
MONTROSE — A Garretson woman has been identified as the victim of a Friday morning crash north of Montrose.
Therasa Anderson, 41, was traveling east on 248th Street, six miles north of Montrose, at 5:31 a.m. when she lost control of her vehicle, according to the South Dakota Department of Public Safety.
The 2003 Dodge Caravan Anderson was driving entered the ditch, rolled and started on fire.
It is unknown if she was wearing a seat belt and she was pronounced dead at the scene.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating. Other responding agencies were the McCook County Sheriff’s Office and the Montrose Fire Department.
