PRESHO — One man died and two juveniles were seriously injured following a one-vehicle crash Thursday on Interstate 90 in Lyman County.

The crash occurred just after 11 a.m. Thursday, six miles west of Presho, at mile marker 219 on I-90. Three people were traveling in a 2008 Kia Sorento sport utility vehicle heading west when the vehicle went off the roadway, entered the ditch and rolled.

None of the three occupants was wearing a seat belt, and all three were thrown from the vehicle. A 57-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene, while two other males — both juveniles — sustained life-threatening injuries. They were taken by ambulance to the Pierre hospital and later flown to Sioux Falls. Names of those involved in the crash have not been released, pending the notification of family members.

The South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
