ORLANDO, Fla. - We’re all concerned about the fate of the packages we order online. Will the order be correct? Will it be safe on my doorstep until I get home from work?

But a Florida couple’s experience adds a new wrinkle to those anxieties. After ordering some plastic totes to help them with storage around their Orlando home, the couple reportedly got way more than they bargained for: 65 pounds of marijuana.

“They were extremely heavy, heavier than you would think from ordering four empty bins” the woman told WFTV. The station did not identify her out of concern for her safety.

The marijuana was inside boxes that were packed inside the totes, which had a strong odor. The couple immediately called the police, who seized the drugs and began investigating. The couple said they were afraid that their home would be broken into and didn’t sleep there for a few days.

The anxieties from the incident didn’t end there, though. WFTV said that the couple tried to get the situation figured out with Amazon but never actually spoke with a supervisor. Eventually, they were given a given a $150 gift card and a message that said, “I am unable to do anything else at this time.”

The couple said they would like an apology and an explanation. An investigation by Orlando police is ongoing.
