Three indicted on burglary, grand theft charges in Sanborn County
WOONSOCKET — Three people have been indicted by a grand jury on burglary and grand theft charges in Sanborn County.
Dakota Pater, Erin Lee, both of Huron, and Ian Austin, of Woonsocket, were indicted and charged Thursday with third-degree burglary and grand theft, according to the Sanborn County Sheriff's Office. The indictments stem from burglaries that took place in August and October of 2016 in Woonsocket. In both burglaries, firearms were stolen from a residence. No other information was immediately available.
The arrest warrants are still active and pending for Pater and Lee, according to a Facebook post by the Sanborn County Sheriff's Office.
The sheriff's office is actively investigating other burglaries in the Letcher area, as well as two vehicles that were stolen and started on fire. Anyone with information regarding these incidents are encouraged to contact the sheriff's office at 796-4511.
