SD State Fair announces 2015 theme
HURON — The South Dakota State Fair has announced its 2015 theme — "Sew It. Grow It. Show It."
"This year we chose a theme that draws attention to all areas of the fair," said State Fair marketing and events coordinator Candi Briley. "When people think about the State Fair, they think about the Horticulture Building, the livestock barns and all of the fun and entertainment the fair offers."
Each year the State Fair hosts a number of events including art exhibits, livestock showings and concerts. This year's theme explains the wide variety of events held every year for families to enjoy.
"Sew It. Grow It. Show It. is intended to remind fair goers of the memories they are making and the traditions they are starting. Sewing and growing memories and showing traditions -- that's what makes the South Dakota State Fair special," said Briley.
An updated State Fair logo has also been designed and can be viewed at www.sdstatefair.com.
The 2015 South Dakota State Fair will run Sept. 3 through Sept. 7. Preview night will be Sept. 2. For more information on State Fair events, contact the fair office at (800) 529-0900, visit www.sdstatefair.com or find us on Facebook and Twitter.
