Power outage reported in Chamberlain, Kimball, Pukwana area
Central Electric Cooperative is experiencing a power outage to members in the Pukwana, Chamberlain and Kimball areas.
At approximately 8:30 a.m. this morning, Central Electric’s power supplier, East River Electric Power Cooperative, of Madison, lost power to its Pukwana, Hilltop, Chamberlain and Kimball substations.
Multiple crews have been dispatched to the area in an effort to locate the cause of the problem and restore power. It is not known at this time when power will be restored.
Central Electric Cooperative is a member-owned Touchstone Energy Cooperative. The cooperative serves about 4,700 members in eight counties with offices in Mitchell, Plankinton, Kimball, Wessington Springs and Howard.
